AFRICAN PEACE AND SECURITY UNION (APSU)

 APSU engages in humanitarian assistance by advocating and lobbying for governmental institutions and international community to address the basic needs of returnees and internally-displaced persons; economic recovery and rehabilitation of ex-combatants; rebuilding the administrative infrastructure, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants, especially child soldiers.

APSU provides counsel and moral support to victims of violence and other members of the community affected by war. And advocating for humanitarian access and funding. 

APSU also  work towards deployed team of communications and policy officer in numerous emergency settings, emergency advocacy adviser and drive engagement in several global advocacy campaigns 

APSU works on environmental rehabilitation issues to enable local populations to resume normal activities 

APSU Engages in public awareness on existing peace and security policies related to Humanitarian, peace-building and peacekeeping in conflict affected area in Africa

APSU advocate and lobby to African States to address the plight of internally displaced persons and refugees and eliminate the root causes of this phenomenon.
