African Peace and Security union roadmap intend to lead, by stages the support of policies and programme that promote peace, security and stability and foster development and integration. It is a performance-based plan, goal-driven plan, with a clear phases, timelines, and benchmarks.

-Peace building and Post Conflict Reconstruction and Development (PCRD)

-Peacekeeping 

-Security Sector Reform (SSR)

-Women Peace and Security Agenda 

-Youth Peace and Security Agenda 

-Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW)

-Human Rights, Good Governance and Rule of Law

-Electoral Institutions and Democratic Principles

-Humanitarian Affairs and Assistance 

In order to achieve its Roadmap, African Peace and Security Union undertake on daily basis, studies, advocacy and Lobby. Organise Awareness Campaign, Conferences, Forums, Seminars, training and information workshops. and provide Advisory Opinions for the effective translation of its objectives and principles into policies documents in complement with the efforts of the Governmental institutions, special Envoys, Representatives, Liaison Offices, Regional Mechanisms and Specialised agencies toward Peace, Security and Stability of the Continent.
