AFRICAN PEACE AND SECURITY UNION (APSU)

  African Peace and Security Union (APSU) is engages in peoples’ participation , inclusion and ownership of SSR.

APSU also works towards peoples participation in the formulation, monitoring and evaluation of Security Sector policies and legislation and Promote the implementation of this policies at national, regional and continental levels. as well as providing CSOs platforms for SSR, Training and capacity Building to assist African individuals, groups and institutions to participate more effectively in SSR processes and to Provide CSOs instrument for SSR advocacy. 

African Peace and Security Union works towards the promotion of dialogue among the different Sector of Society on Security issues as well as confidence-Building measures.

African Peace and Security Union also assists in Security Sector review and needs assessment, National Security strategy on civil component, Comprehensive capacity Building and professionalization of the institutions of the Security Sector, institutionalization of effective partnerships and coordination mechanisms and effective communication strategy
